What is Hearthtail?
Hearthtail is a cozy animal sanctuary game for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Aethos Solutions LLC. You find stranded animals in a painted valley, bring them home, care for them, and choose whether each one stays, goes to a forever home, or returns to the wild. Nothing is lost while you are away. The game is in development, and the waitlist is how to hear about the launch.

How a rescue goes
A rumour names a place where something is sheltering. You look until you find it, then approach in the way that animal needs: food, stillness, or play. You cannot get the approach wrong. Nothing runs away for good.
Every arrival comes to the Rescue Porch. You name them, build the feeding pen their kind needs, and play with the ones who want to play. When an animal is thriving, the ending is a choice you make together. A forever home, a return to the wild, or a permanent place at the sanctuary. None of the three is a failure, and nobody has to leave to make room.

What it refuses to do
No animal dies. Nothing decays while you are away, including softer forms of decay such as a happiness score. There is no energy meter and no login streak. The game plays without a connection, and the sanctuary is saved on the device.
It is a sanctuary builder, closer to caring for a place than to farming or decorating an island. The guides compare that with games that use timers, games that punish a break, and other animal rescue games.

We have not announced a price. Ads will be one way the game is supported. People on the waitlist will hear how that works before the game reaches the App Store or Google Play. This website runs no advertising and sets no cookies.
