Hearthtail is a cozy animal sanctuary game for iPhone and Android. You find stranded animals hidden around a valley, bring them home, care for them, and decide with each one whether they stay, go to a forever home or return to the wild. ### When does Hearthtail come out? We haven't set a release date. The game is playable and in active development, and people on the waitlist will hear the date before anyone else. ### Which phones and tablets will it run on? Hearthtail is being built for iPhone, iPad and Android. We test on both current and older phones. ### Do the animals get sick or die if I stop playing? No. No animal dies in Hearthtail, and nothing gets worse while you are away. There are no streaks to lose and no reminders meant to make you feel guilty. ### Are there timers or energy meters? There is no energy meter that stops you from playing. Some things take time, such as a scout gathering wood, but waiting never costs you progress and you are never locked out. ### Which animals can I rescue? Twenty-three kinds, from cats, dogs, sheep and pigs near the cottage to horses, toucans, penguins, zebras, tigers and elephants in the farther districts. Each kind has its own feeding pen and its own games. ### Can I play offline? Yes. The whole game plays without a connection and your sanctuary is saved on your device. ### What happens when I join the waitlist? We save your email address and write to you about Hearthtail only: development news and the launch.
